Day 1
Arrival in Moshi
Airport transfer. Guide briefing and gear check. Hotel dinner.
Day 2
Machame Gate to Machame Camp (3,021m)
Trek through montane rainforest. Colobus monkeys overhead. 6β7 hours, 10km.
Day 3
Machame Camp to Shira Camp (3,830m)
Steeper moorland gradient. Views of Kili and Mt Meru open up. 5β6 hours.
Day 4
Shira to Barranco Camp (3,972m)
Acclimatisation day. Ascend to Lava Tower (4,250m) then descend to Barranco. 7β8 hours.
Day 5
Barranco to Karanga Valley
The Barranco Wall scramble β memorable and achievable. Alpine desert begins. 7β8 hours.
Day 6
Karanga to Barafu Camp (4,640m)
Final camp before summit. Early dinner and rest before midnight departure.
Day 7
Summit Night β Uhuru Peak (5,895m)
Midnight departure. Stella Point at sunrise. Uhuru Peak by 8am. Descent to Millennium Camp.
Day 8
Mweka Gate and Moshi
Final descent. Certificate at Mweka Gate. Celebration dinner.

Departure
Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport or onward to your safari.
