Why Visit
What Makes Mount Meru Trekking Unmissable
Mount Meru is a superb acclimatisation trek before Kilimanjaro and a spectacular objective in its own right. You trek through Arusha National Park, encountering buffalo, giraffe, and colobus monkeys on the lower slopes. The upper mountain is a dramatic volcanic crater with knife-edge ridges and superb views of Kilimanjaro on a clear day. Far fewer crowds than Kili.
