Your Itinerary

Day 1

Tarangire National Park

You arrive to baobab trees, massive elephant herds, lions, giraffe, and over 550 bird species. Overnight at Fig Tree Lodge and Camp near Mto wa Mbu.

Day 2 & 3

Serengeti National Park

Leopard, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest. Camp under the stars at Seronera Public Campsites right inside the park. Optional balloon ride at dawn.

Day 4

Serengeti (full day)

Another full day on the plains. Evening transfer to Ngorongoro Simba Campsite on the crater rim to watch the sunset.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the caldera in the morning. Hyena, lion, elephant, black rhino, and hippos. Picnic lunch beside the hippo pool before returning to Arusha.

Arusha National Park

Colobus monkeys, flamingos at Momella Lake, and views of Mt Meru. Walking safari option available. Return to Arusha for the night.

Tarangire National Park

Gate to Camp 1 (~3,000m)

Trek begins through montane rainforest. Colobus monkeys above you. 6–8 hours depending on route.

Day 3

Camp 1 to Camp 2 (~3,800m)

Gradient steepens through moorland. Views of Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru start to open.

Day 4

Acclimatization Day

Climb high, sleep low. Ascend to ~4,200m then descend to camp. Essential for summit success.

Day 5

Alpine Desert Zone

Summit Night — Socialist Peak (4,566m)
