ITINERARY

Arrival

• You’ll be collected from the airport.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. If time allows, you can do an Arusha city tour, visiting the famous art gallery (Cultural Heritage), local market, and Masai market.

Day 2: Arusha to Arusha National Park

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7:45 am and drive for an hour to the park’s entry gate. Arusha National Park has an awe-inspiring blend of vegetation which includes swamps, grasslands, and montane forest. The mountain slopes of Meru are swathed in tropical rainforests. It is home to the black-and-white colobus monkeys and flamingos at Momella Lake. It’s a unique ecosystem that attracts thousands of animals and birds including flamingos. A walking safari will get you up close to the animals. You will later drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Today, your safari adventure begins! After breakfast, we will pick you up from the lodge at 7:30am and drive to Tarangire National Park for two hours. The park is well known for its large elephant herds and abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent). From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna, and Tarangire River, which is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, eland, warthogs, and elephants. You will have your picnic lunch at a picnic site with a spectacular view! Finally, you continue with game viewing as we head towards Motto Cottages for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, and breathtaking views of the Rift Valley escarpment. Enjoy a picnic lunch and game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Following breakfast, your journey to Serengeti National Park begins. Brace yourself for a captivating adventure as you traverse a long and occasionally bumpy road, taking approximately 4-5 hours. Along the way, you’ll be treated to enchanting game sightings as you ascend the crater highlands, heading towards the expansive plains of Serengeti.

If the weather permits, you’ll have the opportunity to make a ten-minute stop at Ngorongoro Viewpoint. From here, you can marvel at the majestic caldera, providing a glimpse of its awe-inspiring beauty before continuing your drive towards Serengeti. A delightful picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route, fueling you for the afternoon game drive upon entering the park. Witness the mesmerizing sunset before heading to the lodge for a delectable dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 6 & 7: Serengeti National Park

Experience a full day of adventure in Serengeti National Park. From sunrise to sunset, embark on an exhilarating game drive, seeking out the magnificent Big Five and discovering a diverse array of over 500 bird species. As the day draws to a close, return to your accommodation at sunset for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay. For an added cost, you can elevate your experience with a hot-air balloon safari or a walking safari.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

Rise and shine! Today, you’ll start your day bright and early, waking up in the morning and gathering in the safari vehicle by 6:00 am. The purpose is to embark on a sunrise game drive, capitalizing on the active wildlife during this time. As you explore, keep a keen eye out for fascinating animal sightings.

Later, you’ll pause at a scenic picnic site amidst the bush to relish a delightful breakfast, immersing yourself in the authentic safari experience. The game drive will continue until noon, allowing you to further enjoy the diverse wildlife of the area.

Afterward, a well-deserved lunch break awaits before you make your way to Ngorongoro. In the evening, you’ll arrive at your accommodation, where you’ll enjoy a delectable dinner and spend the night in comfortable accommodations, preparing for more exciting adventures on the following day.

Main Destination: Ngorongoro Highlands

Accommodation: Embalaki Ngororgoro Camp

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater

Embark on an exciting day of safari adventure as you descend into the captivating Ngorongoro Crater at 6:00am. Explore the diverse wildlife and stunning landscape of this remarkable location, which spans an impressive area of 260 square kilometers and has a diameter of around 20 kilometers. With its breathtaking scenery and abundance of wildlife, you’ll have the opportunity to spend approximately five hours exploring the wonders of the crater. Look out for the rare black rhinos among the array of East African wildlife during this immersive experience. Conclude your safari adventure by returning to Arusha, marking the end of your memorable journey with us!

Day 10: Lake Eyasi – Arusha (Departure)

After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi for a cultural experience with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, known for their traditional hunter-gatherer lifestyle. Later, continue your drive back to Arusha where your safari ends. Drop-off at your hotel or airport for your onward flight.

Driving Time: 1.5 hrs (Karatu – Eyasi) + 4–5 hrs (Eyasi – Arusha)

End of Tour
