ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be picked up and taken to your accommodation in Arusha. If time permits, you can opt for an Arusha city tour, visiting attractions like the Cultural Heritage Art Gallery, the local market, and the Maasai market. This allows you to experience the cultural highlights of Arusha before settling in at the lodge.

Day 2: Arusha to Arusha National Park

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 7:45 am and drive for an hour to the park’s entry gate. Arusha National Park has an awe-inspiring blend of vegetation which includes swamps, grasslands, and montane forest. The mountain slopes of Meru are swathed in tropical rainforests. It is home to the black-and-white colobus monkeys and flamingos at Momella Lake. It’s a unique ecosystem that attracts thousands of animals and birds including flamingos. A walking safari will get you up close to the animals. You will later drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your exciting safari adventure kicks off today! After breakfast, we’ll pick you up at 8:00 am from your accommodation. A 2-hour drive takes you to Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephants and ancient baobab trees. In an open-roof vehicle, explore the park’s diverse landscapes, spotting various wildlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a picturesque site with a stunning view, followed by more game viewing. Later in the afternoon, you’ll head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Drive to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Serengeti. The route will take you through a long and occasionally bumpy road, providing you with approximately 4 to 5 hours of captivating game viewing as you ascend the crater highlands towards the vast plains of Serengeti. If the weather conditions allow and visibility is clear, a 10-minute stop will be made at the Ngorongoro viewpoint, offering you a glimpse of the breathtaking caldera before continuing the drive to Serengeti.

Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti

Spend a full day in Serengeti National Park, exploring its breathtaking landscapes with game drives from sunrise to sunset. Look out for the legendary Big Five and over 500 unique bird species. In the evening, unwind at your lodge with a delightful dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 6: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti

As the saying goes "No two days are identical in Serengeti" Today, Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti on game drives, with chances to spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and a variety of other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the breathtaking scenery. Return to Salinero Serengeti Lodge for another overnight stay.

Optional activities, such as a hot air balloon safari at sunrise or a walking safari, can be arranged to enhance your experience.

Day 7 - 9: Fly to Zanzibar beaches

After breakfast, you will start your drive as you head to Serengeti Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar.

Day 10: Departure

Depending on your flight time, you can relax on the beach or take a little more time to explore the island. A driver will then take you to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward travels. Still craving more? Don’t settle for goodbye just yet—extend your adventure to the untouched beauty of Pemba or Mafia Island, and experience a whole new level of paradise!
